The present invention relates to a drug-releasing biodegradable fiber chip for dental use and a preparation method of the same, wherein biodegradable fibers having an average diameter of 0.01-100 &mum are interlaced and compressed in the form of a network to form a fabric chip having a width of 0.5-50 mm, a length of 0.5-50 mm, and a thickness of 0.05-5 mm and pores are distributed within the biodegradable fibers interlaced in the form of a network, wherein the biodegradable fibers comprise a biodegradable natural polymer, a drug, and a cross-linking agent as constituents. Since the biodegradable fibers form a network (mesh) structure, the biodegradable fiber chip can be easily inserted in or attached to a wound area, and does not depart from the attached area even when mixed with bodily fluids, thereby acting effectively only on the treated area.
