PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface treating method and product for it in which surface treatment may be carried out independently from material quality of the product and potent antibiotic and/or antiviral effect may be provided by a simple operation.SOLUTION: There is provided a surface treating method for product 10 with antibiotic and/or antiviral agent for antibiotic and/or antiviral treatment. The surface treating method for product 10 comprises: an immersing step where substances 12 having a larger specific gravity than a predetermined solution 13 applied on surface 11 of the product 10 and an antibiotic and/or antiviral effect are immersed in organic solvent having a smaller specific gravity than the predetermined solution 13 for a predetermined time period an organic solvent removing step in which after the immersing step, a part of the organic solvent is removed to obtain substances 12 having a smaller specific gravity than the predetermined solution 13 and an antibiotic and/or antiviral effect and a step in which the substances 12 having an antibiotic and/or antiviral effect obtained in the organic solvent removing step is added to the predetermined solution 13 and coating process onto the product 10 is carried out.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
