PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a latex production increasing agent and a method for increasing the production of latex, which suppress the tree height of a latex production plant to strengthen the plant against wind damage, further thicken the part of a tapping panel to increase a tapping area, and further increase latex duct cells to increase the yield of latex. SOLUTION: The latex production increasing agent includes, as active constituents: one or more kinds of compounds selected from the group consisting of jasmonic acid and its derivatives; and a plant growth retardant. The method for increasing the production of latex includes: an A step of making a plant growth retardant act on a latex production plant to produce a latex production plant in which tree height is suppressed; and a B step of making one or more kinds of compounds, selected from the group consisting of jasmonic acid and its derivatives, act on the latex production plant.
