PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope allowing even an inexperienced novice or a small-handed operator to easily perform operation when capturing an opening of a duodenal papilla from the front.SOLUTION: The endoscope includes: an insertion part inserted into a body cavity of a subject, and disposed with a curve part 22 an operation part 12 provided continuously to the insertion part and a curve operation knob 26 turnably disposed in the operation part 12, and performing a curve operation of the curve part 22. A curve direction of the curve part 22 is inclined by a prescribed angle θ to the turn plane of the curve operation knob 26 around the insertion axis of the insertion part.
