The present invention relates to an antiviral composition containing a Zedoariae rhizoma extract. More specifically, the present invention relates to a composition which contains a Zedoariae rhizoma extract and inhibits proliferation and activity of norovirus. The Zedoariae rhizoma extract of the present invention shows low cytotoxicity and exhibits excellent antiviral effects even when the extract is injected in low concentration. Thus, the composition containing the same shows effectiveness in preventing or treating norovirus illness and is safe as well, thereby being useful for foods or pharmaceutical compositions.본 발명은 봉출 추출물을 함유하는 항바이러스용 조성물에 관한 것으로서, 더욱 상세하게는 노로바이러스(Norovirus) 활성 및 증식을 억제하는 봉출 추출물을 함유하는 조성물에 관한 것이다.본 발명의 봉출 추출물은 세포 독성이 낮으면서도, 저농도로 투여했을 경우에도 항바이러스 효과가 탁월하므로, 이를 포함하는 조성물은 노로바이러스 질환의 예방 및 치료에 효과적이고 안전하여 식품 또는 약학 조성물 등에 유용하게 사용될 수 있다.
