The anchoring element (42) acts as a blade oriented along the prosthesis intersection axis, for preventing rotation of the plates, for prosthesis insertion. A curved plate articulation surface is formed on a plate, for pivoting or inclination of plates relative to each other, by rotation about an axis perpendicular and parallel to the plane of preset plate. An independent claim is included for instrumentation for inserting intervertebral disc prosthesis between vertebrae of spinal column.
