PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power tool having an engine and a motor, and materializing rational driving.SOLUTION: A chain saw is configured as a power tool having an engine 111 and an electric motor 141. The chain saw has a final output shaft 131 for driving a saw chain, a controller 139 for controlling the electric motor 141, and a driving source for supplying a current to the electric motor 141. Concerning the chain saw, the saw chain can be driven by a hybrid driving mode in which the engine 111 and the electric motor 141 simultaneously drive the final output shaft 131. The driving source of the chain saw is equipped with a capacitor 138.
