PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a more effective therapeutic agent capable of improving and treating the axial symptoms (particularly freezing of gait symptoms) of patients with Parkinsons disease.SOLUTION: The axial symptoms, particularly freezing of gait symptoms, in patients with Parkinsons disease can be improved and treated by using L-threo-3,4-dihydroxy-phenylserine (DOPS) and a COMT inhibitor in combination together with an L-DOPA preparation. As a result, the axial symptoms difficult to improve with conventional L-DOPA preparations can be treated, and a therapeutic agent and a treatment method are provided for the axial symptoms of patients with Parkinsons disease, particularly those suffering from the disease at a moderate level or higher.COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT【課題】パーキンソン病患者の体幹症状(特に、すくみ足症状)を改善、治療することのできる、より効果的な治療剤を提供する。【解決手段】L-Dopa製剤と共に、DOPSとCOMT阻害剤を併用することにより、パーキソン病患者の体幹症状、特にすくみ足症状を改善、治療することができた。この結果、従来のL-Dopa製剤では改善され難い体幹症状の治療を実施することができるようになり、中等度以上のパーキンソン病患者の体幹症状に関して、より効果的な治療剤、治療方法を提供できるようになった。【選択図】 図1
