PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the interpretation efficiency without referring to past images in a medical image processing apparatus, medical image processing method and medical image processing program.SOLUTION: An image receiving unit 21 receives a current image acquired by imaging a subject. A character information acquisition unit 22 acquires character information from past medical information relevant to the current image. A position receiving unit 23 receives a designation of a position in the current image. A character specifying unit 24 specifies characters relevant to the position received by the position receiving unit 23 from the character information acquired by the character information acquisition unit 22.
