An endoscope is provided at a distal end in an insertion direction, a lens on which imaging light is incident, an image sensor provided on a back portion of the lens, and the imaging light is focused on an imaging surface, and a back portion of the image sensor. And a shielding portion which covers at least the back surface of the image sensor on the side opposite to the lens and has an insulating property and a light shielding property.
