PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seed treatment means which can eliminate the "hard bean" state of seeds, without causing deterioration of the quality of the seeds.SOLUTION: This method for the water absorption promotion treatment of seeds is characterized by forming fine holes, having a depth of 10 to 50 micrometers and a diameter of 200 micrometer or smaller in the coats of the seeds.
