A light therapy and massaging apparatus comprises a base and a chair. A first movement imparting mechanism is provided for displacing the chair assembly relative to the base for displacing a user on the chair assembly in a repeated motion. Infrared light sources are provided in the chair assembly for delivering high energy to the user's body. Paddles extend within openings in the chair assembly for massaging the user's buttocks, the paddles being driven by a second movement imparting mechanism. Protrusions are provided transversally on the chair assembly and opposite the user's legs so as to act on the user's legs when the chair assembly is displaced by the first movement imparting mechanism.
