PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent lowering of liquid permeability in the thickness direction due to absorption.SOLUTION: In an absorbent article including an absorption body 60 expanding accompanied with absorption, the absorption body 60 includes a first absorption part 61, a second absorption part 62, and an overlapping part 63 where the end part of the first absorption part 61 and the end part of the second absorption part 62 are overlapped in the thickness direction. A large expansion part 70 having a relatively large expansion amount and a small expansion part 71 having a small expansion amount are provided in at least one of the first absorption part 61 and the second absorption part 62 in the overlapping part 63. In the overlapping part 63, the first absorption part 61 and the second absorption part 62 are partially separated during absorption by a difference i of an expansion amount, and a gap 64 penetrating in a direction crossing the thickness direction is formed between the first absorption part 61 and the second absorption part 62.
