PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a planting container allowing planting water to be stably and sufficiently supplied to a root area where plant roots grow to extend, securing the root area as large as possible and moreover promoting the growth of plant stems and leaves.SOLUTION: A planting container includes a planting container body 1 including a planting space 2 having, in a front face, an opening through which a plant extends, and a planting water storage part 8 formed at a lower part of the planting space 2 and a water absorbing planting bed material placed in the planting space 2, with the lower part of the material being located in the water storage part 8 so that planting is performed while the planting bed material absorbs the planting water in the water storage part 8.
