PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hypochlorous acid aqueous solution having excellent bacterial effect and safety.SOLUTION: Provided is a hypochlorous acid aqueous solution having a pH of 6.3 to 6.7 being an antimicrobial agent of bacillus spore in which the effective chlorine concentration in the aqueous solution is 280 to 320 ppm. Also provided is a bactericidal method of bacillus subtilis spore characterized in that a member as an object for germicidal treatment is immersed into the antimicrobial agent for 0.5 to 4 min. Also provided is an antibacterial agent being a hypochlorous aqueous solution having a pH of 6.4, in which the effective chlorine concentration in the aqueous solution is 0.5 to 200 ppm.
