PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thrombus suction catheter which can absorb vibrations during inserting the catheter and can improve the blood vessel following performance and the kink resistance by making a lengthened intermediate part accomplish an interference action.SOLUTION: In the thrombus suction catheter (1), a shaft tube (2) is made up of three kinds of tubes with varied hardness, of a proximal part (3), an intermediate part (4) and a distal part (5). A reinforcing material (7) is mounted on the inner wall surface of the proximal part (3) to keep it from coming into contact with a liquid, and a guide wire tube (6) is mounted on the distal part (5). Each of the proximal part (3) and the intermediate part (4) has a suction lumen (11) while the distal part (5) has a guide wire lumen (10) and the suction lumen (11).
