The present invention relates to a wheelchair comprising: a wheelchair body comprising a pair of front wheels and a pair of rear wheels installed on the front and rear sides thereof respectively, configured to freely rotate, a seat plate support frame fixed on the upper portion thereof, having a footboard equipped at the front thereof, a lower support frame installed on the lower portion thereof, connected with the seat plate support frame via an upper and lower support frame； a seat plate which is fixed on the upper portion of the seat plate support frame, wherein armrests are formed on the left and right sides and a backrest is formed on the rear side； a pair of connecting rod supports detachably combined to the upper and lower support frame and the lower support frame of the wheelchair body； connecting rods wherein one end is rotatably combined to each of the connecting rod supporters to be faced to the rear or upper side of each back wheel according to the rotation direction； a braking frame having one end rotatably connected to the other end of the connecting rod and having a rounded shape to be spaced apart from the outer tread of the back wheel while the connecting rod is rotating, and having a plurality of braking bumps to be engage with grooves formed on the tread when pressed toward the thread； and a lever which is fixed to the other end of the braking frame to put on the brakes or advance or back up the back wheel by rotatably moving the braking frame and the connecting rod in a state where the braking bumps of the braking frame engage with the grooves formed on the back wheel depending on an operation of pushing the lever forward or pulling the lever backward while the braking bumps are pressed in the thread direction of the back wheel.본 발명은 전방 및 후방에는 자유 회전하는 한 쌍의 앞바퀴 및 한 쌍의 뒷바퀴가 각각 설치되고, 상방에는 전방에 발판이 설치된 좌판지지프레임이 고정 결합되며, 하방에는 상하지지프레임을 매개로 상기 좌판지지프레임과 연결된 하부지지프레임을 구비한 휠체어바디와, 상기 좌판지지프레임의 상방에 고정 결합되고, 좌우 양측에는 팔걸이가 구비되며, 후방에는 등받이가 구비된 좌판과, 상기 휠체어바디의 상하지지프
