PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a probe which enables observation of an observed object region and the front side without increasing the diameter of the distal end.SOLUTION: The probe 7 includes an imaging camera 75 provided in the distal end and imaging the inside of a lumen K, and an optical system provided nearer the proximal end side than the imaging camera 75 and performing emission of irrardiation light and reception of radiated light. The probe is inserted into the lumen K and emits the irradiation light over the observed object region of a living tissue, while detecting the radiation light caused by the irradiation light and radiated from the observed object region.
