PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling apparatus for cooling a cooled object in an electromagnetic field or a state where an electric field is generated, in which the object can be efficiently kept in a super-cooling state.SOLUTION: A cooling device includes: a freezer for cooling a cooled object; an electromagnetic wave irradiator for generating an electromagnetic field that acts on the object, in which an intensity of the electromagnetic field is variable; a control part which controls an operation of the freezer and the electromagnetic wave irradiator, the control part performing a super-cooling operation for cooling the object in the freezer while generating the electromagnetic field; and a temperature sensor for measuring a temperature of the object.
