Beverage extraction equipment uses specially pre-packaged beverage containers and associated beverage extraction methods. The container includes a cup-shaped base having an opening at the bottom. Multiple roasted coffee beans are housed therein. The apparatus includes a blade for piercing the cup to crush the beans while the bean is in the cup.
