An implant assembly, system, and method for stabilizing a joint between an upper vertebra and a lower vertebra is coupled to an intervertebral spacer having at least one fastener extending upwardly or downwardly from the implant assembly and secured within the vertebral body to stabilize the joint. It may include a plate member.
