PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for producing extracts capable of enhancing the effectiveness of plants belonging to the genus Bidens, particularly, Bidens pilosa and to provide a composition containing an extract obtained by means of such process.
SOLUTION: A composition which exhibits advantageous effects excellent in treatment of hyperglycemia, hay fever, and the like and is excellent as a preventive medicine therefor by using the extract of a plant belonging to the genus Bidens produced by mixing the plant belonging to the genus Bidens, particularly, Bidens pilosa with ginger or a plant belonging to the Zingiberaceae such as turmeric, and extracting the mixture with an extraction solvent.
