The present invention discloses a novel herbal composition comprising whole plant extracts of Equisetum ramosissimum formulated in one or more suitable forms of formulation, for the treatment of high blood glucose levels, high cholesterol levels and high triglycerides levels in metabolic diseases including but not limited to diabetes. The present invention also discloses the process (es) of preparing the same.
