PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a promoter capable of expressing and inducing in an active oxygen stress loaded state. SOLUTION: The active oxygen stress-responsive promoter comprising DNAs of following (a), (b) and (c). (a) A DNA comprising a specific base sequence, (b) a DNA containing a base sequence deleting, substituting or added one or a plurality of base from/for/to the specific base sequence and functioning as the active oxygen stress-responsive promoter, and (c) a DNA hybridizing with a DNA comprising a sequence complementary with whole or a part of the specific base sequence in a stringent condition, and functioning as the active oxygen stress-responsive promoter.
