The insect trap comprises a receptacle (1) that defines at least one side wall (2) and a base (3), said receptacle (1) having a plurality of holes (4) through which insects enter the interior of the receptacle (1) and is characterised in that said holes (4) are perpendicularly arranged with respect to the base (3) of the receptacle (1).The arrangement of the holes guarantees the effective luring of the insects by the air currents created by the arrangement of the holes.
