The motorized bed includes a base 21, a bedstead frame 22 and a lifting device 20. At each end of the base 21 is a drive mechanism 200 which includes a retractable push member 201 to raise a first link 2010 pivotally connected with the bedstead 22. In order to stabilise the lifting of the bedstead 22 by distributing the force applied by a user, connecting units 202 couple the first links 2010 to each side of the base 21 via a second link 2011. Each of the connecting units 202 includes a strut 2020 and two levers 2021, where each lever 2021 is pivotally connected at one end to the base 21, the other end to the strut 2020 and at a middle region to the second link 2011. The drive mechanisms 200 may operate synchronously and the levers 2021 may be bent. The bed may have a medical or rehabilitation use.
