PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glossy coating material in which the dispersion of a brightness material is superior and hard siltation is not formed at the storage, also adhesion between seeds and the adhesion to a work tank are reduced during coating, a feeling of glossiness with a sense of quality can be given on the surface of the coating seeds, the peeling from the seeds is not caused, and further germination performance is not affected adversely.SOLUTION: A glossy coating material for seed is characterized by containing a brightness material, talc, a polyvinyl alcohol, an ethylene/acetic acid copolymer and a water medium, the content of the brightness material in the glossy coating material for seed is 10 mass% or more and 30 mass% or less, a mass ratio of the brightness material and the talc is 3.5:1-1:1, and the mass ratio of the PVA and the EVA is 3:1-1:1.SELECTED DRAWING: NoneCOPYRIGHT: (C)2019,JPO&INPIT【課題】光輝材の分散性が優れていて保管時に固い沈殿層を形成することがなく、また、被覆加工中に種子同士の付着や、加工槽への付着が少なく、被覆種子の表面に高級感のある光沢感を施すことができ、種子からの剥離が起こらず、さらに、発芽性能に悪影響がない光沢被覆材を提供する。【解決手段】光輝材、タルク、ポリビニルアルコール、エチレン・酢酸ビニル共重合体及び水媒体を含有し、種子用光沢被覆材における光輝材の含有量が１０質量％以上３０質量％以下であり、光輝材：タルクの質量比率が３．５：１～１：１であり、ＰＶＡ：ＥＶＡの質量比率が３：１～１：１であることを特徴とする。【選択図】なし
