The present invention provides a drum assembly for filling predetermined amount of the tablets on a capsule and method thereof. The drum assembly for filling predetermined tablets to a capsule comprises a hopper for accommodating tables and having an opening at the bottom thereof, a rotary drum rotatably supported below the opening at the bottom of said hopper for rotation in one direction and having plurality rows of pockets, air passages provided in axial direction opening at the annular wall of the rotary drum and air vents communicating the pockets of each row with the air passage, a suction portion to provide vacuum in the coinciding tubes on the annular wall for sucking the tablets in the pockets from the opening of the hopper, an exit portion for releasing the vacuum, and a chute having channels adapted at the exit portion for transferring the tablets in the pockets of a column in a capsule.
