PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device, a system, and a method for inserting a cannula into a blood vessel. A method comprises advancing a stent 500 into a first blood vessel 502 and deploying the stent within the first blood vessel to maintain the opening of one or more valves, peripherally. It allows retrograde blood flow through the blood vessels in the vessels and may assist in the cannulation of the blood vessels. In one embodiment, the method further comprises non-invasively detecting the stent site. The stent comprises a first strut and a second strut having different thicknesses.
