To provide an absorbent article which includes a sensing area capable of detecting the presence/absence of body fluid which a wearer excretes, and can smoothly connect the sensing area to an electric and electronic device.SOLUTION: A non-skin facing surface of a rear surface sheet 13 included in an absorbent article 1 is provided with a sensing area S1 capable of detecting the presence/absence of body fluid which a wearer excretes. The non-skin facing surface of the rear surface sheet 13 is provided with a connection tab 30 used for electrically connecting an electric and electronic device separate from the absorbent article 1 with the sensing area S1.
