A carded package (10) includes a front card (16) bonded to a rear card (18) with a blister card (14) captured therebetween. The blister card has upstanding blister compartments (28) projecting through openings (34) of the front card (16). The rear card (18) extends over an opposite face of the blister card (14) and is a laminate including a tear-resistant polymeric layer (38) bonded to a paperboard layer (36). The polymeric layer extends adjacent the blister card (14) and the paperboard layer (36) of the laminate extends remote from the blister card forming an exposed surface (26) of the rear card (18). The rear card includes perforations (40, 46) aligned behind the blister compartments (28). The perforations include a first set of perforations (40, 46) cut entirely through the paperboard and polymeric layers (36, 38) and a second set of perforations (40) cut into the paperboard layer (36) and not into or entirely through the polymeric layer (38). A method of assembling a carded package (10) is also disclosed.
