PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems that even an outer peripheral surface on the lower side of the outer peripheral surface of a movable hood supported by contacting a forefinger is tilted during ordinary grip to cause a somewhat sense of incompatibility in grip though feathering properties are good because the distance from a contour line on the upper side of the outer peripheral surface of the movable hood contacting the root of the forefinger to a spool is shortened when a reel is mounted because the diameter of the outer peripheral surface of the movable hood of a conventional reel seat is reduced toward a fixed hood in a similar way.SOLUTION: The contour line 35 on the upper side in the rod shaft direction of the movable hood 29 appearing when the reel seat of the fishing rod is viewed from the lateral side in such a state that a reel mounting surface 9 is directed downward is formed so as to approach the side of the rod body passing through the central hole toward the fixed hood 13. A contour line 37 on the lower side is formed so as to be nearly parallel toward the fixed hood 13.COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT【課題】従来のリールシートの可動フードの外周面は固定フードに向かって同じように縮径しているので、リールを取り付けると、人差し指の付け根の当たる可動フード外周面の上側輪郭線からスプールまでの距離が短くなっているのでフェザーリング性は良いが、通常の握りの際に人差し指が当接して支持する可動フード外周面の下側外周面も傾斜し、握りに違和感が多少なりとも生じてしまう。【解決手段】釣竿リールシートをリール着座面9が下方を向いた状態で側方視したときに現れる可動フード29の竿軸方向の上側輪郭線35は固定フード13に向かって中心孔を挿通している竿体側に近づくように成形し、下側輪郭線37は固定フード13に向かって略平行になるように成形する。【選択図】 図6
