PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an underpants type absorbent article which can improve flexibility and touch feeling on a waist part.SOLUTION: An underpants type absorbent article of the invention comprises: an absorbent body 3 including an absorber and an exterior body 2 for fixing a non-skin contact surface side of the absorbent body. The exterior body 2 comprises: an exterior body main body 20 forming a ventral part A and a back part B, and having plural sheets and a folding part 21 which is formed by being folded to a skin contact surface side along a peripheral edge part 51 of a waist opening part 5.
