PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connection unit which can protect a connection site from being given with a difference in level to cause a thrombus, and can protect an artificial blood vessel or a human finger from being damaged and the connection construction of an artificial blood vessel in which the artificial blood vessel is connected to the connection unit.
SOLUTION: The cannula 10 has an overlaid part 11, the outer circumferential surface of which is tapered toward the front, and the nut 20 has a screw nut 22 and a presser 21, the inner circumferential surface of which is tapered toward the front. The front part of an artificial blood vessel 30 is fitted to overlay the overlaid part 11, and then the nut 20 is screwed to fit to a screw bolt 12. A part of the artificial blood vessel 30, which has been directly contacted with the overlaid part 11, is pressed to be tapered by the presser 21 projecting from the front edge 11f of the overlaid part 11, so that the inner circumferential surface 30a of the artificial blood vessel 30 is made to be almost flush with the inner circumferential surface of the overlaid part 11.
