PURPOSE: A composition containing Fraxini Cortex extract for preventing and treating hypersensitive dermatitis is provided to reduce immunoglobulin E(Ig E) and to ensure antioxidation. CONSTITUTION: A composition for preventing or treating hypersensitive dermatitis contains Fraxini Cortex extract as an active ingredient. The Fraxini Cortex extract is isolated using water, alcohol of C1-C4 or mixture solvent thereof. The extraction method is reflux and heating. The distilled water extract and alcohol and ethyl acetate extract are obtained by hot water extraction and room temperature extraction, respectively. The amount of the Fraxini Cortex is 0.5-1 g/ml. The Fraxini Cortex extract has antioxidative activity.
