An aerosol generating device includes an aerosol generator (1000) and a plug (2000). The aerosol generator (1000) includes a container (200) and an atomizing module (100) arranged in the container (200). The container (200) has a liquid chamber (201), an aerosol chamber (202), and an insertion slot (204) defining an insertion direction (S). The liquid chamber (201) and the aerosol chamber (202) are respectively arranged at two opposite sides of the atomizing module (100), and are in spatial communication with each other through the atomizing module (100). The atomizing module (100) includes two electrode regions (311a, 311b, 311c) having the same polarity and being electrically connected to each other. The plug (2000) is detachably inserted into the insertion slot (204) of the container (200) along the insertion direction (S), and a conductive terminal (2002) of the plug (2000) contacts the two electrode regions (311a, 311b, 311c).
