PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve user-friendliness and handleability of an electric tool by using a low-power battery packs as a power source for a relatively high-power electric tool.SOLUTION: An electric shearing tool 10 for gardening is provided with two sets of shearing blades 13 that are arranged on the front side of a housing so as to be capable of reciprocating movement relative to each other. An electric motor 41 that generates rotating movement and a conversion mechanism 43 that converts the rotating movement into the reciprocating movement of the two sets of shearing blades 13 relative to each other are provided within the housing 11. The electric shearing tool 10 comprises a handle 21 that is provided to the upper side of the housing 11, wherein the handle 21 extends in the front/back direction and is used for a user to grip when he/she picks up and uses the electric shearing tool 10. The electric shearing tool 10 is provided with a plurality of attachment sections 31, 32 that make it possible to individually attach separate rechargeable battery packs B1, B2 to the housing 11.
