A protective eyewear apparatus for use in controlled environments is presented. The protective eyewear include a multi-component apparatus that can be easily assembled and disassembled, sterilized and/or repaired. The apparatus provides a sealing engagement with a protective garment and include one or more usage trackers (104) to monitor and track the usage of one or more of the components of the apparatus.
