PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem in which when an endoscope apparatus is performed such that the bending part inside an insertion part is subjected to bend operation by a small motor, desired bending operation is not obtained by the shortage of a driving force.SOLUTION: The endoscope apparatus comprises as follows. The threshold that associates the curve amount of a bend part, a caused load, and the driving force of a drive part is set, when any one of the curve amount, the load, and the driving force reaches the threshold with bending operation, a driving power source by serial current energized to a motor is switched to a pulse power source by pulse current, wherein the pulse power source has a peak value exceeding the maximum serial current that can be driven in the range of maximum allowable temperature or lower and whose cycle includes non-application time for which the drive part is maintained in maximum allowable temperature or lower.
