The present invention is provided with a novel opening/closing mechanism for a lid separating a tank and an atomizing unit. The present invention is also provided with a cartridge for a flavor inhaler. This cartridge for a flavor inhaler comprises: a housing having a reservoir space for accommodating a liquid and an atomizing space for atomizing the liquid； a lid member capable of moving in such a manner to separate the reservoir space and the atomizing space in an openable/closable manner； an aerosol flow path for delivering an aerosol generated by atomizing the liquid from the atomizing space to the exterior of the housing； a rotation member capable of circumferentially rotating about an axis parallel to the direction of movement of the lid member； and a motion conversion mechanism for converting a circumferential rotation motion of the rotation member to an axial linear motion of the lid member. The lid member is directly or indirectly secured to the motion conversion mechanism. The motion conversion mechanism is configured so that, by rotating the rotation member circumferentially, the lid member is moved in a direction towards the rotation member, thereby allowing the reservoir space and the atomizing space to communicate with each other.
