A vertical movement type massage apparatus comprised in the upper massage chair frame includes: a lower massage roller to massage the body part below the shoulder of the user； a folding roller rotated by the control； a roller folder part which connects the lower massage roller and the folding roller, adjusts the gap with the lower massage roller according to the rotation of the folding roller, and includes a sensing sensor sensing pressure during adjustment of the corresponding gap； an upper massage roller formed on the upper part of the lower massage roller to massage the shoulder and the body part below the shoulder of the user； a movement rail part moving the lower massage roller and the upper massage roller up and down by being loaded on the upper massage chair frame as being rotated by the control； an input and output part generating a driving request signal according to the operation of the user, and receiving and displaying display information of the operation state； and a control apparatus part which controls the folding roller and the movement rail part according to the driving request signal generated in the input and output part, and delivers the display information to the input and output part, and recognizes the body shape of the user with the variation information of pressure sensed in the sensing sensor.
