PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing stretchable sheets highly efficiently manufacturing the stretchable sheets with favorable external appearance.SOLUTION: This method for manufacturing stretchable sheets includes: (1) a conveying step for conveying a thread-like elastic body 7 with its wound around a conveyer 16 (12 and 13) while being extended in the direction crossing a conveying direction y (2) an integration step for, after applying adhesive to one or both of a pair of belt-like sheets 50 and 60, merging them with the thread-like elastic body 7 to provide a composite sheet 30A (3) a cutting step for cutting the thread-like elastic body 7 extended from the end edge along the conveying direction y of the composite sheet 30A, contracting it, and placing the cut end of the thread-like elastic body 7 at the end portion along the conveying direction y of the composite sheet 30A with its non-fixed to both the sheets 50 and 60 and (4) a joining portion forming step for forming a plurality of joining portions 10 for joining both the sheets 50 and 60 at the placing area of the thread-like elastic body 7 at the end of the composite sheet 30A.
