PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wheel chair configured in such a way that when a support wheel is lifted from a ground-contact surface using a lifting mechanism and an armrest part is sprung up and turned back from a horizontal use position to a back sprung-up position centering around a turning support shaft in order to form an open space required for getting on and off a seat part position, the support wheel is fixed at a specific separation position by cooperation with the rotation of the support wheel in a lifted state, a specific part of the support wheel is separated from a residual part thereof using a wheel separation mechanism while the position of the support wheel is fixed at the specific separation position, consequently unpredicted free traveling of the residual part of the support wheel is prevented to improve safety.SOLUTION: A wheelchair includes a wheel position fixing mechanism 16 which can fix the position of the support wheel at the specific separation position F by the cooperation with the rotation of the support wheel 6 in operative linkage with the back spring-up turning from the horizontal using position H of the armrest part 4, and which enables the support wheel to freely rotate by releasing fixation of the position of the support wheel at the horizontal use position of the armrest part.COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT【課題】浮上機構により支持車輪を接地面から浮上動作させると共に座部に対する乗り降りに必要な開放空間を形成するために肘掛部を回動支持軸を中心として水平使用位置から後方跳上位置へと後方跳上回動すると、浮上状態の支持車輪の回転との協動により支持車輪を特定の分離位置に位置固定することができ、支持車輪の位置が特定の分離位置に固定された状態で車輪分離機構により特定部分を残余部分から分離することができ、支持車輪の残余部分の不測の自由走行を防いで安全性を高めることができる。【解決手段】肘掛部4の水平使用位置Hからの後方跳上回動に連動して支持車輪6の回転との協動により支持車輪を特定の分離位置Fに位置固定可能とすると共に肘掛部の水平使用位置において支持車輪の位置固定を解除して支持車輪の自由回転を可能とする車輪位置固定機構16を設けてなる。【選択図】図1
