PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a granular material separator for efficiently and separately taking out a granular material from a mixture of making the granular material mixedly exist in fiber and powder.SOLUTION: A separator is provided for separating a granular material from a separation treatment object mixture including the granular material, and comprises: a storage tank 1 for storing a processing liquid a cylindrical separation vessel 2 for storing the object mixture in a state of immersing at least a part in the processing liquid of the storage tank 1 and forming a separation hole 23 for passing a granular material-separated residue together with the processing liquid without passing the granular material and an agitation unit 3 for arranging a first agitation member 31 on the periphery for agitating the processing liquid in the storage tank 1 on the outer periphery of the separation vessel 2. An unnecessary material of becoming the residue is untied and softened by the processing liquid, and is passed through the separation hole 23 together with the processing liquid, and the objective granular material is left and separated in the separation vessel 2. A collected quantity can be processed at once without relying on manual work for separating the unnecessary material and the granular material, and processing efficiency is remarkably improved.
