The invention relates to an electrocardiograph electrode comprising one or more contact members (1； 1′； 1″) provided with a plurality of contact pads (3； 3′； 3″) suitable to establish an electrical contact with the body of a patient, wherein the contact members (1； 1′； 1″) and/or contact pads (3； 3′； 3″) are restrained to a supporting member (2) of the electrode by way of a plurality of elastic members (4； 4′； 4″). The invention also relates to an electrocardiograph chest belt (5) comprising a plurality of said electrodes.
