The invention relates to an electrocardiograph electrode comprising one or more contact members (1 1 1") provided with a plurality of contact pads (3 3 3") suitable to establish an electrical contact with the body of a patient, wherein the contact members (1 1 1") and/or contact pads (3 3 3") are restrained to a supporting member (2) of the electrode by way of a plurality of elastic members (4 4 4"). The invention also relates to an electrocardiograph chest belt (5) comprising a plurality of said electrodes.
