PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roll for compression molding for partially compressing a bulky absorptive panel without damaging its flexibility, and to provide a manufacturing method of an absorption structure using the roll.
SOLUTION: The roll 20 for compression molding has a recessed part 22 recessed in a radial direction R compared with a peripheral surface 21 only at a part of the peripheral surface 21 making contact with a workpiece, and the peripheral surface 21 except for the recessed part 22 is smooth. The absorption structure having the absorptive panel molded using the roll 20 and a surface sheet covering at least its surface is obtained.
