According to one embodiment of the present invention, a rehabilitation assistance device using dimension transformation and feature extraction of a motion data is provided. The rehabilitation assistance device includes: a database which stores a body feature data and a motion feature data individually of a reference target group； a correlation coefficient calculation unit which calculates a scaling factor, by which the correlation between a body feature data and a motion feature data of the reference target group becomes the greatest； a motion feature data production unit which measures a body feature data of a user and produces a user motion feature data by applying the scaling factor calculated to the body feature data of a user measured； a motion data process unit which browses a motion feature data corresponding to the user body feature data within the database, transforms the browsed motion feature data into a low level motion data, and transforms the low level motion data into a high level motion data； and a drive unit which operates a rehabilitation training robot based on the high level motion data transformed.본 발명의 일 실시예에 따르면, 참조 대상군의 신체 특징 데이터 및 모션 특징 데이터를 각각 저장하고 있는 데이터베이스, 상기 참조 대상군의 신체 특징 데이터 및 모션 데이터 사이의 상관관계가 최대가 되는 비례계수를 산출하는 상관계수 산출부, 사용자의 신체 특징 데이터를 측정하고, 측정된 사용자의 신체 특징 데이터에 상기 산출된 비례계수를 적용하여 사용자 모션 특징 데이터(motion feature data)를 생성하는 모션 특징 데이터 생성부, 상기 데이터베이스에서, 상기 사용자 신체 특징 데이터에 대응하는 모션 특징 데이터를 검색하고, 검색된 모션 특징 데이터를 저차원 모션 데이터로 변환하고, 변환된 저차원 모션 데이터를 고차원 모션 데이터로 변환하는 모션 데이터 처리부 및 상기 변환된 고차원 모션 데이터를 기초로 재활훈련 로봇을 동작시키는 구동부를 포함하는 모션 데이터의 차원 변환 및 특징 추출을 이용한 재활훈련 보조장치가 설명된다.
