The present invention provides a water-based skin cosmetic comprising the following ingredients (A) and (B) : (A) A compound represented by the following formula (I) (In this formula, 1 and m can be either the same or different； each denotes an integer 10-25.) (B) A thickener composed of microgel obtained by using a composition that has an organic solvent or oil component as the dispersion medium and water as the dispersion phase, dissolving a water soluble ethylenically unsaturated monomer in the dispersion phase, and radically polymerizing it in the dispersion phase, wherein said microgel is obtained by radically polymerizing dimethylacrylamide and 2-acrylamido-2-methylpropane sulfonic acid under the conditions in which single phase microemulsion or fine W/0 emulsion is formed by using a surfactant.本發明提供一種水性皮膚化妝料，其特徵在於含有下述成分(A)與(B)：(A)下述式(I)所表示之化合物；(式中，l及m可相同亦可不同，分別表示10~25之整數)(B)由微凝膠所構成之增黏劑，該微凝膠係於以有機溶劑或者油分作為分散介質、且以水作為分散相之組成物中，使水溶性乙烯性不飽和單體溶解於分散相中，並於分散相中進行自由基聚合而獲得者，且上述微凝膠係於藉由界面活性劑形成單相微乳液或者微細W/O乳液之條件下，使二甲基丙烯醯胺與2-丙烯醯胺-2-甲基丙磺酸進行自由基聚合而獲得。本發明之目的在於提供一種對皮膚之塗勻性與融合性良好，無黏膩性，且水潤性、浸透感、柔滑感、服貼感等使用感極優異之水性皮膚化妝料。
