Hydrophilic dehydrated partially purified material for bone replacement of natural origin, from which non-collagen organic material is almost completely removed, while the inorganic porous bone structure and collagen structure inherent in natural bone are practically preserved, characterized in that the material for bone replacement contains at least one saccharide or sugar alcohol in an amount of from 0.05 to 1.5 wt. %, and a phosphate group selected from the group consisting of HPO phosphate and HPO, in an amount of from 0.7 to 5.6 wt. %, where the specified phosphate group is a component of a physiologically acceptable salt, which is a sodium phosphate buffer. 2. The hydrophilic dehydrated partially purified bone replacement material according to claim 1, which contains a phosphate group selected from the group consisting of HPO phosphate and HPO, in an amount of from 1.0 to 2.8 wt. % .3. The hydrophilic dehydrated partially purified bone replacement material of claim 1, wherein the sugar alcohol is sorbitol.
